Representatives Ed Markey (D-MA) and Joe Barton (R-TX) announced they had received responses from the four major U.S. wireless carriers about privacy and location data -- At&T; Verizon; Sprint; and T-Mobile. Markey and Barton sent a letter to the companies after security researchers revealed that Apple was recording the location data of iPhone and iPad users.
