CDR: LinkedIn loses data appeal

The case featured a raft of amici curiae submissions, such as commercial real estate data company CoStar Groupwhich retained Williams & Connolly lawyers John Williams and Nicholas Boyle (now at Latham & Watkins), while Perry Viscounty and Gregory Garre of Latham & Watkins acted for advertising publisher Craigslist.
Non-profit organisations The Electronic Privacy Information Center (EPIC), Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and digital library Internet Archive made submissions, through in-house legal teams, as did internet search company DuckDuckGo and industry group Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press (RCFP), which also represented 30 news media entities.
