National Journal: As Washington dawdles on AI legislation, states take the lead on regulating evolving technology

“We were quite disappointed with the report,” said Caitriona Fitzgerald, the deputy director of the Electronic Privacy Information Center. “It failed to address issues of discrimination and bias in these AI systems, and instead was essentially a proposal to spend lots of money on artificial intelligence.”
