EPIC Submits Comments to Council of Europe on Profiling

EPIC has expressed support for a proposed appendix to the Council of Europe Convention on Privacy that would apply privacy safeguards specifically to data profiling. In comments to the expert Committee, EPIC said that profiling is an issue of "increasing public importance." Previously, EPIC urged Secretary of State Hilary Clinton to begin the process of US ratification of the Council of Europe Convention.
