FTC Tech Summit

EPIC Senior Counsel and head of EPIC’s AI and Human Rights Project Ben Winters will be participating in the FTC’s Office of Technology’s: FTC Tech Summit. Ben will be participating in Panel 3: AI + Consumer Applications on January 25th at 2:45pm.

Ben will be joined on the panel by: Andy Hasty (moderator), Atur Desai, Karen Hao, and Conrad Kramer.

Event Description: The FTC’s Office of Technology is hosting the FTC Tech Summit with the goal of facilitating a dialogue amid a dynamic innovation landscape. This half-day virtual summit is focused on artificial intelligence and will be held on January 25, 2024, from 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm ET. To that end, they are hosting the FTC Tech Summit to bring together a diverse set of perspectives across academia, industry, civil society organizations, and government agencies for a series of conversations on AI across the layers of the technology stack—from chips and cloud infrastructure to data and models to consumer applications. The conversations will focus on the state of technology and real-world impacts of AI on consumers and competition. The event is fully online and open to the public.
