New Hampshire Bans the Sale of Childrens’ Data
June 29, 2026
New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte has signed HB1460, sponsored by Rep. Melissa Litchfield, which amends the New Hampshire Privacy Act to ban the sale of a child’s personal data.
This bill continues the trend of states revisiting enacted privacy laws to strengthen protections, with Delaware, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, Utah, and Maryland all recently passing updates to their privacy laws to strengthen consumer protections.
