Lauren Fischer

Lauren Fischer is the Communications Associate at EPIC. She promotes the organization’s work to the media, maintains its social media channels, and ensures its efforts reach all desired audiences. 

Prior to joining EPIC in 2026, Lauren managed social media and communications initiatives for several DMV-area nonprofits, including the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Washington Bach Consort, and Washington Performing Arts. 

Lauren graduated from Indiana University with honors in 2022, and holds a B.A. in Journalism with a concentration in Public Relations. She also completed a certificate in Liberal Arts and Management and received a minor in History. 

During her time at Indiana University, Lauren served as Media Relations intern for the Indiana House Democratic Caucus and Student Marketing Manager for the Indiana Daily Student newspaper. In her free time, she volunteers with the Greater Brookland Intergenerational Village and plays clarinet in the Maryland Community Band.
