Bloomberg Law: Complying With California Kids Code Is Suddenly More Complicated

“Overall, the decision is a good sign for the future viability of design regulations,” Megan Iorio, senior counsel at Electronic Privacy Information Center, wrote in an email. “The age-appropriate design code model has evolved since the CAADC, with recent iterations like Vermont, Nebraska, and South Carolina adopting more bright line rules that do not contain the vague language the Ninth Circuit found fault with in the CAADC.”
EPIC introduced model AADC legislation earlier this year that has been adopted by legislators in Kentucky and Michigan.
